Yah with those two last commissions finished and my cat in a good home and my new job settling down...

I can start actually drawing what I want to draw without feeling like I should be worrying about something else

Anyway I plan to make a T-Shirt out of this after I color it!

It's late and I love how the lineart looks so far so I post it...

now I'm off to bed yo!

I haven't had the time or desire to draw in along time I have been busy looking for work, moving and all kinds of stuff!

NOW I can start drawing again...I hope!

I had the line art without color and it didn't see right!

I tryed something new with the shading where I drew the outlines in one color and drew the shading with another color(On the original paper sketch) it works better because my outlines look better when I have something to trace rather than when I have to digitally free hand.

I also tryed that thing I've seen many artists do where the duplicate the outline layer and give the bottom layer a slight blur, it works well with some pics but not with others.

I also feel like I'm cheating when I do that just because it works so well at hiding mistakes in the outlines, I feel like I'm lying to the viewer (you) by doing this over simple effect.

I did an experiment to illustrate the meekness and strengths of both traditional inking and digital inking.

what I did was do the little pic in pencil and scan it, then I inked it with both techniques.

I tryed to do as little photoshopping to the traditional lines just to really show the weakness VS strength.

Now the Traditional one seems to have bolder lines and fallow a more pleasing shape to me while the digital seems to be much cleaner and more professional looking.

Well I just wanted to see how making clothes in different layers worked…and the only way I could really think to try it was to put thin clothes on somebody…

…also I was recently shown stuff by Dean Yeagle so I wanted to try it too ;__;

Why a Dalmatian you ask?

Well when I started drawing this I was watching 101 Dalmatians.

PS…I don’t like how her face came out!

All right I wanted to emulate Fred Perry’s’ style of coloring with this one and it took way to long to do I don’t think it looks as good as it could have….

I’m still getting the hang of using my tablet but it still feels like it’s missing something…I have also still not gotten the hang of “digitally painted” backgrounds so I left one out of this one.

I have also learned that many things in my new “style” don’t translate well to masculine characters, so part of the reason I have been doing so many girls is that I have to basically re create how I draw guys again…

Things like the way I draw anthro hair and such don’t seem to work well with male faces but oh well.

Yah I was still learning about Photoshop and the one you see before you is the one I just did!

I'll tell yuh, havin' a tablet sure dose make a difference, I was really impressed with how awesome it dose with inking!

Well one thing about using a tablet is that you do tend to loose sight on what the whole pic looks like.

the coloring of this one's a bit weak but I still like it!

Mainly this was drawn for practicing my tablet inking!

My card for Skifis "anthro nudes" card deck project.

the whole "nude deck of cards" makes me think "vintage" so I did a quick google image search for what might be a cool pose to use and I found this one that was made in like the 20's and I figgered I'd give it a try.

I think it looks cool no I didn't INK it with my new tables but I color it with it...

it's not the greatest looking pics but I still like it.

a friend just handed me a tablet...

so after the WTF wore off I was so excited to try it!

I got it back home and I colored this with it only to find I need much more practice...

yah fancey or not it's awesome!

Shiba Inu at the beach

well it's a drawing of a what's SUPPOSED to be a Shiba Inu girl at a beach relaxing...

I'm not thrilled with how the anatomy came out but I'm not going to complain and the BG is terrible, but all and all I don't hate it!

The reason there's not alot of shading and background is because I'm going to try and make a T-Shirt out of this one

Yah I have been quite impressed with how my animals have been turning out, and they are actually fun to draw too

I'm planning to make this a T-Shirt with the caption saying "I ATE Chuck Norris"

Just Donut

Yah went to that art group again...but this time I brought reference material.

While I am extremely happy with how the anatomy and inking came out Photoshop started doing the horridly UGLY thing with the shading and gradients it's never done before

Rather than a smooth transition from color to color you got this weird almost "mapped" look to the color changing with is UGLY as hell to watch a brown change from brown to red to yellow

....


anyway I haven't draw any animals lately so I figgered I'd draw Donut

I've never really decided what to draw on his collar but I though this one would work for now.

I guess I'll just say he has many different collars and changes them like humans do clothes or something.

Yah just an experimental drawing for one of the comic projects I thinking of

it is as of yet unnamed and these characters still feel a bit generic in there look but follow the general them of the two main characters in the comic

Girl one a master sword fighter (there father would be a Sonny Chiba/Clint Eastwood type) and I seem to imagine her being voiced by Juliette Lewis for some reason, she would dress in very stylized clothes that look like a mix of 40's styled clothes and modern punk look

Girl 2 the other sister is a magic user and would dress an more flowing natural traditional clothes to contrast the cultures in with the girls were brought up in.

Hey if any one could think of a suggestion for a name it would help!

Sorry I kept the background so simple with this one but I really liked how the characters came out and felt that if I did anything to the BG it'd just muck it all up.

The characters are from a Comic called "Adrozons" and it's actually published now by a very small comic company called Angry Viking Press, and yes I know Merry looks to "smart" and she doesn't normally carry a sword but I just though it'd look cool
