I had no idea how to finish it off at the time so I just let it sit on my hard drive. I think it was based off of a photograph, but I've long since lost it. Well, I recently went back and completed it, and I now consider this finished. Flaws and all. So enjoy it for what it is kiddies... :) I can't even begin to count how many hours worth of time is invested in Photoshop with this thing... I really can't. But it was fun. So yeah, worth it.

Dolphins and whales like to travel along behind her because she's so big she scares all the sharks and other beasties away that'd otherwise try to eat them. Chat' however doesn't like the taste of dolphins or whales (unless they're dead. Don't ask). She prefers Giant Squid, Sharks, Giant Sunfish and Bluefin Tuna, as well as the occasional sea-serpent. I was half way through with this image when I saw a strikingly similar image drawn by the very talented Christina Marie DeLong. I almost trashed this completely as a result. But was convinced to finish it by my good friend Celesse. In other words, I DIDN'T rip Christina's art! Don't anyone dare accuse me of it. This was an independantly created image. Think paralell evolution... like a hedgehog vs an echidna. Both eat bugs, and have spines, but neither are related. So anyway, here you go. My 'official' christmas image for 2004. Enjoy. This is the first in a new experimental set of Sci-Fi Anthro' paintings I'll be doing this year. Mixed-Media Painting. Acrylic paint, watercolors, gouche on 11"x14" watercolor paper. Just something drawn for myself. Started as just playing with pens on card stock... then I decided to slap some color on it. The posters and postcards on the walls are actual photos I've taken over time... local places and parks, and even a picture of my dog. :P Eventually I might move this to scraps, but for now it can stay in the main gallery.
