The Gryphon Lords - ForestMute

Picture two of five in my Gryphon Lords series of character sheets. I wasn't going to do ForestMute's sheet this early in the series - he was actually scheduled to be fourth or fifth but the design for this guy was stuck in my head and he wouldn't go away until I put him on paper.

Even though he's more plain in colorization compared to the other lords, I think he's the cutest one.
He's not a god... more like a forest or tree spirit.

The Theran Gods - Gale

I've been wanting to start on the "Theran Gods" series for months now. I finally decided to get off my butt and start working on that.

The series will give some insight into the world where a lot of my stories take place in... so you people can stop bugging me about that. (kidding)

The series starts with Gale-Ahn'Amon (AKA "Gale"), one of the three chief gods on Theran culture. He is the god of life, the father of all gryphons, and the "youngest" of the nine gods.

There are going to be nine pictures in this series. I'll try to finish one or two a month (maybe more depending on my workload) until I have a sheet for all nine gods.

Irdelle - Character Model Sheet

This character sheet has been sitting on my computer, unfinished for quite some time. I just haven't had the inspiration to work on it... but I finally kicked myself in the butt to get it done.

You may remember this character from my "Bewitching Blizzard" picture a few months back. She was originally supposed to be a one-shot character in that picture, but I liked her design so much that I decided to make her an "official" character of mine.

Over two months since my last picture in this series. I know I've been severely neglecting it lately, but I do plan on finishing it. No doubt in my mind about that.

Isomi - Character Sheet

I've been doing a few new techniques to my character sheets to make them pop a little more. I've been happy with the results, but I decided to try them on a sheet for one of my anthro characters since nobody seems to give a crap when I draw my human characters.

Isomi was my figurative guinea pig for this one. I'm admittedly not much of a canine person, but I've always had a soft spot for foxes. Also, one of my pet peeves is looking up drawings of anthro fennecs and a good chunk of them don't even look like fennecs. I had to draw my fennec to make myself feel better about that. LOL.

I don't really have a lot to say about this one. I mostly wanted to finish it up before I started working on arts for other people again and since my SWG server is down this morning, it was the perfect time for me to get him done.

Kenduseus - Character Sheet

Model sheet for a character from my "Nefarious Illusions" story which takes place in a sci-fi/fantasy mix setting.

Kenduseus is (more or less) a side character, but since he does show up quite a bit, I decided that he deserves his own character sheet.

Liah - Character Sheet

I've been wanting to work on my human-ish characters more recently, as the main aspect of my story is the sci-fi part and I've really been neglecting my sci-fi heroes... who I consider to be my babies much more then my furry/anthro characters.

Some people may remember her from a quick concept I did of her a few weeks back. She's actually an older character of mine. She started as my main Star Wars Galaxies character back when I used to play and was a pikeman/beastmaster hybrid. I've always wanted to adapt her to my story, but just never got her down on paper until recently.

Senator Jan Nadien - Concept Art

Character Model Sheet for Senator Janceren "Jan" Nadien.

She plays an important role in my still unnamed "Next Generation" stories. I did a few changes to her since my original concept art of her. I think her design is a bit better now.

On a side note. Red Pandas are really starting to grow on me. They're quite fun critters to draw.

Na'kata - Character Sheet

I hadn't planned on making any new character references for a while. In fact, my plans were to start on my Theran gods series, but I was planning on submitting this character for the next round of the Anthro Sketch Xchange and needed ref pictures of her for that.

This character has been mulling around in my head for the past six months or so but I haven't put her down on paper until now. I really think that full avians are really underdone in the anthro world.

I wanted to avoid creating a bird of prey or a corvid because most of the avians in the furry fandom seem to be of one of those two species. I decided on a quetzal because they're a somewhat obscure species of bird and I've never seen an anthro quetzal before.

Plus quetzals just rock.

Paxton - Character Sheet

Character sheet for Ryyl Paxton, another in one of my long line of gryphon characters.

This is a relatively new character that was inspired when I was watching Star Gate Atlantis and my boyfriend made a comment that Ronon's dreadlocks looked like weird sausages growing out of his head. I personally think dreads are sexy (I have even been considering getting dreads put in my hair ), so I was inspired to make a character with them.

Rahst - Character Sheet

Finally starting to finish up some of the drawings of my human(ish) characters that I've been working on.

I came to the conclusion that I don't draw my villains as much as I should because evil can be fun.
Rahst isn't really "evil"... just a brat that you'd love to hate. Putting him in certain situations definately makes him an amusing bad guy.

He's funny. Not quite comic relief, but there's always a bit of dry, sarcastic humor when I write about him... even though he'd probably put his pistol to my head if he heard me say that.

Ran-Qui - Character Sheet

Character sheet for one of my Star Wars fan characters. I worked on this off and on the last few days while I was sick.

Anyways... experamenting with adding backgrounds to my model sheets. I'm rather pleased with how this turned out. I think my next project with charsheets is to redo some of the sheets for some of my main characters that badly need a makeover (Ulario, Aredon, etc).

The upstairs neighbors are arguing... AGAIN! And very loudly I might add. They've been at it for an hour. >:(

I have a headache now... and had a very hard time concentrating on finishing this piece. If I spoke French or if my husband was home I'd go up there and tell them to STFU!

I think I'm gonna go buy one of those rubber bouncy balls so I can throw it at the ceiling whenever this happens.

Anyways... character sheet for my Ki'rin fursona, Rhointai. This sheet is very long overdue in my mind. Especially considering that she is a very fun character to draw and I've used her in a few art exchange groups already. ^^

Rikka - Character Sheet

Long overdue character sheet for my Velociraptor char, Rikka. Dinos FTW. She's actually named after my Trandoshan character on SWG... she's a similar color, too.

I need to stop working on art right before I go to bed because I had a really weird dream about this character last night. :/

Moar work on my still untitled "next generation" story.

Risight serves as the main "villain" in that story, but he isn't evil. He tries to do what he thinks is the right thing, though his actions end up hurting others and hinder the progress of his species.

Regardless of what my gallery may suggest, I consider my sci-fi characters and stories to be my "babies" much more then my furry related ones. I feel like I should be drawing these characters a little more. I've been neglecting them for a long time and always wanted to get more non-furry recognition for my work.

A LOT of time and planning goes into these characters. Shae here had been a character roaming around in my head for the past seven or so years but I could never get him down on paper because I didn't know what he should look like. For the longest time, I was thinking of basing him off of a younger Seth reen (IE his Buffy the Vampire Slayer days), but didn't like that idea enough for it to ever make it off the ground.

My dA/FA watchers probably remember this character from my "Year of the Rabbit" picture for the 2011 Chinese New Year.

She was originally meant to be a one time use character for that picture, but even now I still get e-mails asking me to draw that character again. So yeah, I decided to make her into one of my "official" characters.

I didn't really have many details in mind for her when I first drew her, so all details about this character were made up and built around that first initial picture of her.

However, in the future when I create a one-time character that people want to see more of, I may just end up auctioning off the character design. o_O

Quite someone I can relate to because I was born mostly blind as well... but instead of seeing with magik, I have glasses and contacts.

Shy'Hin - Character Sheet

Still trying to complete some character sheets for my personal characters.

I love chambered nautilus (nautili?). They're fascinating animals and probably my favorite sea critters. I always wanted to do something with the species but I always thought an anthro nautilus would look a bit like Dr. Zoidberg. Plus invertibrae breed Therans don't exist in my universe.

So late last year I came up with an idea to make a nautilus turned terra-dragon.

Anyways. I'm tired. I think I'm gonna chill for a while.
