Learning to Fly - Commission

NewEnglander's character, Brenda who is stuck in werebat form until she gets some more funding for her research until she can find a cure. This one was a pleasure to do because I love bats.

Most of this picture was colored in the wee morning hours. Not because of Insomnia... but because there was a movie on TV that starred Adam Baldwin that I have not seen before (Yeah I know. Very surprising. LOL!)
I like to work on pictures while watching TV or listening to music.

This ended up taking MUCH longer then I normally like commissions to take, but I am pleased with the results. He's a very fun and creative character... plus I've been a bit of a steampunk fan ever since the god ol' days when I used to play Arcanum. It's a genre that I hardly ever get to draw since I'm mostly stuck in my own sci-fi universe.

Trains and manmade objects. Definately NOT my strong point. Period. However, the person who commissioned this really wanted a hover train in the background and I've always believed that artists should always challenge themselves by pushing themselves out of their "comfort zones" so I was willing to give it a shot. I referenced quite a few stock photos of trains for it.

Hacker Style - Gift Art

A rare gift art effort from me.

LoTekGhost, the Matrix online character of my RL boyfriend (who is also my in game husband). If you haven't guessed, he is a hacker character... which is MxO's version of a caster. The pic itself isn't anything to write home about in my opinion, but it was a freebie so it wasn't required to be a masterpiece.

The title of this picture comes from one of the hacker buffs in the game (I think.. I've never played a hacker character before). Altough it sounds more like a sex position if you ask me. XD

I've worked on this morning so now I need a nap.

Doggie Commish Series - Pic 1 - Alaskan Malamutes

First in a series of four commissions featuring dogs. The person who commissioned these is a local woman who wanted a series of dog pictures for her daughter's room.

I have free roam of what dog species to feature. Labrador retrievers are definately going in this series as I want to include my labrador/sharpei mix (who looks mostly lab with a few sharpei features) in this series.

Also, the person who commissioned this specificly said that since these aren't original characters I can sell prints of these to anybody who wants them - so yes... the pictures in these series will be the only commissions that I have made so far that is available as prints to the general public.

Character Shuffle - Mosibal

Working on this was my morning in a nutshell. This month's round for the Character Shuffle I gotted MyFiveDaemon's character, Mossibal.

He's basically an elf that can transform himself into a tree. The cardinal is his animal companion, Itehop.

Even though I think he looks like a green Harry Potter, I did find him to be a blast to draw and color. I like trying to draw unique characters like this one. In fact, I wasn't planning on doing a full sized picture for the Character Shuffle, but once I started, I just couldn't stop myself.

I've been so concentrated on working on this picture, that I didn't realize how hungry I am. I'm gonna go eat lunch now. Kthxbai!
