Moxie - Conbadge and Charm duo

LOL... lots of upcoming holiday themed pictures coming up. Some commissions, some exchanges and some as Xmas gifts.

This one in particular was done for Moxie VIA the Real Mail Xchange. Her pink husky character. It includes a full body conbadge and a small charm made from Shrinky Dinks.

Mudpaw - December Dragon Exchange

I got Mudpaw's character for the Dragon Exchange this month. She is such a beautiful character and very fun to color. :)

Myra Midnight - Dragon Swap

Dark-Stardragon's character Myra Midnight VIA the dragon swap community on LiveJournal. She mentioned that her character likes night skies so I used that as an excuse to incorate my space arts into my illustration work.

Naughty or Nice? - Commish

This commission was a BLAST to do!

NewEnglander's "not so tiny" were-reindeer character, Theresa, does Santa's dirty work. She's very buff because she will be pulling Santa's sleigh this year... and working on Santa's naughty list is the perfect job for her because her regular job for the other 364 days of the year isn't so nice.

Lots of cute details and subtle humor went into this piece. Kudos to you if you actually know where the words "Space Mutiny" comes from.

I went with an "Old World" Santa rather then the overcommercialized "Madison Avenue" Santa that you see in malls and on Coca-Cola cans because I like them better... and NewEnglander seemed to agree.

Pancakes - Commish

This one was fun. A sweet, sassy Southern werecoyote gal who likes to cook and runs her own bar.
I don't often get to do southern/western type things so this was a pretty cool commission to do.

She only payed for a pencil drawing but since her character has such a nifty color scheme I couldn't resist doing a colored version as well (no extra charge, of course since coloring it was my idea/indulgance). She is of celtic origin so I tried adding some celtic accents to the jewelry and giving her a druid-ish look.

Pigs and Hogs - T shirt design

T-shirt design commission done for a local biker gang who wanted matching shirts for an upcoming trip. The original design for this shirt featured a badass warthog, but the people who commissioned the shirt said that they wanted a pig that looked more like Porky instead. I liked the warthog better.

Pyre - Anthro Sketch Xchange

Viridian Phoenix's character, Pyre VIA the Anthro Sketch Xchange.

The theme for this round was "monsters" and she wanted her Renamon character, Pyre in a scary Digivolved form. Obviously I didn't want to draw him exactly like the renamon in the cartoons because they don't fit my drawing style and they're oo cute to be scary.

Commissioned picture of Reimus the red fox. He's a blind healer... which explains the blindfold.

Much fun was had with coloring him... particularly his robes... though now that I look at them, there's a bit more Jedi looking then I would like them to be. XD

Doggie Commish Series - Pic 2 - Retrievers

Second in my series of four dog commissions for a little girl's room. I was given full roam with the dog breeds that I chose.

The yellow lab is Cashew, my dog. She's actually a lab/Sher Pei hybrid but she does look mostly labrador (but with a few wrinkles that labs usually don't have). In retrospect, I think I could have made this drawing of her more realistic by adding a puddle of drool and/or drawing her whining because her favorite stuffed animal is under the bed.

The golden retriever is Pfeifer, my Aunt Janie's dog. Pfeifer is a fattie but my Aunt is in denial about it. XD

This series is actually kind of fun. I normally don't get to draw "real" animals without wings or other fantastical features... and when I do, I usually don't post them online.

Rosaline - Commission

Commissioned pic for NewEnglander's newest character, Rosaline (or Roz). She's a D&D style adventurer who accidenly drank a potion that shrank her into a six inch tall mouse.

This picture was definately fun. A welcome change of pace from the traditional anthro and high fantasy that I've been drawing lately.
