My picture for the October Round of the Dragon Swap Live Journal Community. The theme for this month was trading card sized pictures. I actually made it look like a trading card.

This month I got Natsumi_San's character, Jahari.

Jericho - Gryphon Art Xchange

Balthazar991's gryphon character, Jericho in a post-apocalyptic environment with crubmling villains... and zombies.

I've been working on adding more "movement" to my work, foreshortening and trying to avoid drawing characters just standing around doing nothing.

Jericho - BeastXchange Adoption

For Boss-Hoss1 VIA the BeastXchange. The person who was supposed to draw him last month bailed, so I adopted him so he would get arts.

His character, Jericho Long who is described as being the "Ricardo Montelban" type. He likes beautiful women and fine clothing.

The two women that he is with are random anthros.

Interactions between multiple characters... still one of my biggest weaknesses as an artist. But I'm working on it.

Why am I reminded of the "Most Interesting Man in the World" beer commercials?

Jessika - Gryphon Art Xchange

For DevHalena VIA the Gryphon Art Xchange. Her gryphon character, Jessika.

She described her character as always plotting things... like taking over the world. But Jessika is lazy and never acts on those plans. Also, Jessika likes collecting action figures so I couldn't help combining the two things into one picture.

She's playing with GI Joes... because some of MY earliest memories were playing GI Joes with my brother.

Gift art from me is rare... full sized, full colored gift art from me is vitually nonexistant. I've decided to do this for her because she is an awesome person, a good artist... and her characters are just so fun to draw. I miss you, hun.

Jyan - Character Sheet Commission

Character sheet commish for Jyan Nashson of his orca fursona of the same name. This one was kind of fun because I hardly get to draw orcas. It was fun and challenging... a welcome change of pace from the species that I usually draw.

Plus... underwater scenes are probably one of my favorite things to paint.

My part for the January 08 round for the Dragon Swap Community. This month I got Kakineko's character, Kai.

I had fun coloring the markings... and the background... but I'm not 100% sure whether or not I like the picture as a whole.

Along with my standard Gryphon Art Exchange picture for this month, I also try to adopt someone who didn't get their artwork... because it urks me when someone dosen't do their end of an art trade/secret santa exchange/whatever. This month I adopted Kalamu, who didn't get her art back in December.

I normally don't post simple sketch commissions publicly, but since this is gift art I thought the person receiving the gift would appreciate it. I added a splash of color and texture to make it a little prettier for web viewing.

Normally I'm not a huge fan of black monochrome character designs because to me all of the colors tend to look the same and merge into each other, but I'm happy with how this one came out. :)
