For some reason, she didn't want me drawing her. I had the hardest time getting this characer down on paper. That aside, I'm happy with how she turned out.

I did a little experamentation with a more limited color palatte in this one.

Naughty or Nice? - Commish

NewEnglander's "not so tiny" were-reindeer character, Theresa, does Santa's dirty work. She's very buff because she will be pulling Santa's sleigh this year... and working on Santa's naughty list is the perfect job for her because her regular job for the other 364 days of the year isn't so nice.

Lots of cute details and subtle humor went into this piece. Kudos to you if you actually know where the words "Space Mutiny" comes from.

I went with an "Old World" Santa rather then the overcommercialized "Madison Avenue" Santa that you see in malls and on Coca-Cola cans because I like them better... and NewEnglander seemed to agree.

NiteTigrezz - Charity Commission

The first of two "charity" commissions. Where people nominated someone they know is going through a tough time and I draw their character just to brighten their day. I was originally going to do one of these, but I was between two peope so I decided to do both!

I pretty much had free reign with this one. I was given the general premise of the story and general ideas for the characters and pretty much told to "go nuts".
I wish I had more commissions like this because this was the most fun I've had working on a commission in a long time. Interactions between characters and complex cityscape backgrounds are among my weakest points as an artist, but I spent a lot of time with it and I think that it shows! I spent almost as much time on the background as I did with the characters for a change. I didn't have any specific feline breed in mind when I designed the female... but looking at her now I think she does look a bit liger-ish. I rather enjoy doing "darker" scenes like this. I should probably try some personal art like this.

This month was actually supposed to be a sketch round, but my uncolored sketches look a little boring for me to turn in to the exchange. So I added a splash of color.

I know his wings wouldn't give him enough lift to fly, but the specific wing shape was part of the character's design, which I needed to remain true to!

The calender commission for October. The month of goblins and spooks will feature R-U-B-Y's dog character. I didn't ask what species she is, but I'm pretty sure she's a golden retriever. :)

I don't often get to do southern/western type things so this was a pretty cool commission to do.

Her character, Pash. A colorful gryphon that I've been wanting to draw for quite some time. I'm glad I finally got her this month.

Despite what the title says, I don't think she actually eats people. But she does fly and is purple, so I couldn't resist making the joke.

Anyways, I used this picture as a guinea pig for playing around with texture. Quite fun!

Payoe - Commission

She only payed for a pencil drawing but since her character has such a nifty color scheme I couldn't resist doing a colored version as well (no extra charge, of course since coloring it was my idea/indulgance). She is of celtic origin so I tried adding some celtic accents to the jewelry and giving her a druid-ish look.

Penny... Gryphon? (FAX)

For Penny Dragon VIA the Fantasy Xchange. Her miniature dragon character as a gryphon... since this month's theme was "species swap".

I went with the strawberry idea because I wanted to do something super cute and thought the red of the berry would look good with the blue of her main body.

I know your character is slightly bigger then she is shown here... but just pretend that the strawberry has been geneticly engineered to be the size of a mango. XD

Avior - Species Concept Commission

Species concept commission for an upcoming German roleplaying forum.

The Avior are an ancient race of bipedal avians. They will be a playable race when the forum is launched. I was given freedom with the design, so I loosely based them off of Phillipine eagles.

Yes, I will provide the web address for the RPG forum when it is finished, though least I talked about the forum's creator, it's not scheduled to come out until late this year or early next year. It will be in German, so you will either have to speak German (which I do not) or have a really good web translator.

Pigs and Hogs - T shirt design

T-shirt design commission done for a local biker gang who wanted matching shirts for an upcoming trip. The original design for this shirt featured a badass warthog, but the people who commissioned the shirt said that they wanted a pig that looked more like Porky instead. I liked the warthog better.

Commission: Polar Bear Tattoo Design

Commissioned work. A tattoo design of an anthro polar bear to represent the his daughter. Background was added to make it look better for web viewing. The tattoo itself obviously won't have a background.

Pose and clothing heavily referenced... perhaps more then I'd like them to be... from some of the reference pictures he sent me (dunno the source) because that's what the customer wanted.

Regardless... 'twas fun and I like the outcome. ^^

I was mostly given free range when it came to drawing this character. I was just given simple instructions about the coloring and head structure and just went from there.

He was loosely based on my character, Mathazar... so he does look quite a bit like one of my Terra dragons.
