Okay not really but geez look at those things. I think I actually drew them a little -too small-. There's another Pokémon who's supposed to have amazing hearing and it's got nothing on these things.

How I waste my time

Dragon Quest IX: When I found out I'd have eight faces to choose from in creating characters, my first thought was, "bullshit. Akira Toriyama can't draw eight different faces." I was right.

Civilization V: Despite how many new World Wonders there are in this game, I predicted correctly that the new Cowboys Stadium would not be featured among them. SUCK ON THAT, NFL HYPE MACHINE

Recettear: I just got Tielle and I really don't like her. I don't like her attacks or her specials or her inability to dash and I cannot convince her to survive. But I feel obligated to level her up because she's there.

Barkley Shut Up And Jam Gaiden: This game is amazing and you should play it.

How I waste my time, part 2

Zone of the Enders: My aim is terrible! It's almost like I'm some kid that stumbled blindly into a cockpit instead of a real pilot.

Borderlands: I can also be seen playing the Siren when I'm moonlighting as a skunk. But bats are predisposed to sniping, it seems.

Ancient Land of Ys: Yes, the DOS original. I was expecting this game to be absolutely awful from what I heard about its "run into enemies and hope they die before you do" combat, but it's actually pretty fun! You just have to attack from an angle to avoid getting mauled.

Etrian Odyssey III: Oh geez. I have a character limit here, but see FA.

EcoQuest 2: The little fruit bat in this game pretty much fills the "damsel in distress" role. You rescue her multiple times and you get a kiss from her at the end. Awww!

How I waste my time, part 3

Pokémon: No points for guessing which Pokémon I take with me absolutely everywhere - it's Swoobat. His name is Bartleby, and his strange mono-ear perplexes me, but he is awesome all the same.

La Mulana: Every few months I'll pick this game up until I get horribly stuck again. But I've come surprisingly far without doing any cheating or looking anything up, so I can't start now.

Drakkhen: As an adult I see all sorts of surprising things here that I never noticed as a kid: an open world you can explore freely, a story of civil war among clans of dragons, name spellings that suggest a unique language, combat strangely reminiscent of Final Fantasy XIII, and oh yeah, GIANT DRAGON TITS.

The Black Cauldron: "Use it wisely" means "shout it on every screen until something happens".

How I waste my time, part 4

Dragon View: These guys might actually be the most obnoxious enemy I've ever seen in any video game. They are equal parts the Red Arremer from Ghosts 'n' Goblins and the dog from Duck Hunt.

Nelson Tethers: Yeah, I'm not claiming unique insight here.

Super Castlevania IV: I will one-credit this game. But first I have to stop getting punk'd by this one stupid merman.

The Binding of Isaac: Some games are unfortunate tragedies, otherwise great works completely ruined by a single stupid design decision. The Binding of Isaac is a mostly-fun Roguelike/shooter that's impossible to enjoy because the entire experience reeks of the most retarded Newgrounds vomit.

Dungeon Defenders: I can't say that much about the game itself, but the interface has some hilariously awkward failings.
