Today's great realization: Sodipodi has actual drawing tools (including an exact curve tool), not limited to the node-happy free drawing pen thingy... =/ So, you can probably expect me to do more vector-based art in future. Here's a *very* sucky sketch/picture that was made entirely in Sodipodi 0.31 - the copyright note was added in GIMP 1.3.16. By the way, the "Hello from Sodipodi" text is not exactly in my handwriting, it was "transformed" mysteriously by the calligraphy tool.

Okay, so, drawing characters is still damn hard for me. Since people use segmented puppet things to assist them in drawing humanoids, I expanded this idea a bit: here's a rough "WWWWolf puppet" done with Blender. The tail is too damn small, though... and the proportions still need work, too. Seriously. This is an extremely rough thing, but probably helps in drawing stuff already!

Sketches of Hoki-Aamrel.
Hoki is a character of mine, first used in alt.fan.dragons. When Hoki also entered the MUCKs, I needed to change the character a bit - he's now only about 5 meters from nose to end of tail, as the MUCK areas are generally speaking *not* designed for 60-meter-long dragons. =) I haven't yet drawn a good picture of Hoki's new form (I'm not yet any good at drawing dragons), but these sketches hopefully show a bit what he's like. Apologies in advance =)

WWWWolf and a Bookshelf. I'm working on a new homenode picture for Everything2.com to mark my 1500th writeup there. I decided to make a "library" scene, and I'm usually a calm and peaceful creature, so I'll be in the picture as a monk. The problem is, I am not exactly Don Rosa and my hand would hurt after drawing all those books and shelves, so I decided to do this picture with Blender. This is what I've done so far. Not the best I've seen, but better than what I've usually done with 3D programs. =)

This sketch is an illustration for a message I posted to alt.lifestyle.furry (somewhere near the date on that sketch, IIRC). Regrettably, I'm not a poet, so It's not quite easy for me to describe the pains of this world...
