I've been playing Legend of the Green Dragon (http://www.lotgd.net/) lately. One of the races available for players are Felynes, cat warriors who are good with blades and gems, but lousy with anything to do with money. I picked the felyne race for two game cycles. On the latter, I was known as "Trader Weiforius", even when I had a chronic inability to make any profit! I did take everything out of the roleplaying possibilities, as can be seen from the picture... =)

lyudmila-tiger-wave.jpg
Image: lyudmila-tiger-wave.jpg   470x978 87769 bytes 2005.02.18

Lyudmila, one of my Tapestries characters. This time - as seems to be how I play her these days - as a siberian tiger. Mrrrowl. =) Done in GIMP 2.2. Perhaps a bit over-curvaceus but, well, basically, this pic was still done to learn how to draw and all that...

werewolf.jpg
Image: werewolf.jpg   750x750 67030 bytes 2004.11.04

Werewolf. Originally drawn 2004-08-24 and forgot to upload. This one was made for a friend's birthday card. Done in The GIMP 2.0, starfields generated with Fractint. I'm pretty happy with the results even when it was done pretty quickly...

livejournal-userimg.jpg
Image: livejournal-userimg.jpg   600x600 49512 bytes 2002.10.22

Yet Another Picture of WWWWolf.
Done in GIMP 1.2.3.
My apologies for making yet another picture of myself... This is for my LiveJournal page, and since they limit the pictures to 100x100 pixels, I felt like publishing the whole pic here, unresized. No matter how many pics I make of myself, I feel like my *real* furry identity is still shaping, yet not shaping. This pic doesn't really represent the whole of myself, but rather just the mood which I've got used to in RL: a bit scared of the whole world. And tired. Need more coffee, all the time. =) I wanted to put a yin-yang shape to the background, but my canine face is on the way... The other half is in purple, the other half is a rainbow. Try to figure that out. =)

wolfmonk.jpg

Wolf Monk.
This is for my home node in Everything2.com, and is made in glorious 3D with Blender 2.23 (in 3D because my hand started to sort of hurt when I even thought of drawing all these books!) There's a lot of stuff in the picture that don't look right (shadows for instance), but I just need to live with that. And, the character model is a little bit clumsy and the robe doesn't fit, but few robes do. =) If I read the statistics right: 85941 vertices, 86337 faces, 1.85 meg memory use, scene file size 870k.

reno_straight.jpg
Image: reno_straight.jpg   680x736 45777 bytes 2002.04.10

This is a friend of mine, Reno_Fox. Unfortunately for *me*, he's a straight fox. =) In case you are wondering my sudden dramatic change of techniques: here we see a Straight Fox, made out of Straight Vector Lines! Isn't technology wonderful?

lyudmila-sit.jpg
Image: lyudmila-sit.jpg   700x774 45195 bytes 2002.01.28

This is Lyudmila from TapestriesMUCK... This is the first pic of her I've inked and colored and uploaded here. It's intended for her web page, but I guess this will need to be refined somewhat - not the greatest picture I've ever drawn, as the picture was finished around midnight. *g*

feeling-down.jpg
Image: feeling-down.jpg   600x679 59606 bytes 2001.12.19

Okay, so I am again severely depressed. It must be that darkness thing again. =( =( However, I just wanted to show that while I am depressed, it is no reason to make sad pictures - even when this picture may seem like one at the first glance. =) This is a somewhat quick drawing... don't expect it to be amazing. Even the joke was recycled!

fox-not-liking-appearance.jpg
Image: fox-not-liking-appearance.jpg   600x720 50287 bytes 2001.07.20

"A fox who doesn't like to appear on stage." My sister challenged me to draw picture on this curious topic last week, and this picture was the product of my tonight's sweat and tears. =) Well, actually, making this picture was much easier than I expected (GIMP 1.2 doesn't seem to get stuck on this machine like 1.1 did on my earlier machine...) the hardest part was to find an inspiration! Then, the coffee just came into my mind... He *is* a fox, after all...

quickbrownfox.jpg
Image: quickbrownfox.jpg   600x600 38804 bytes 2001.02.17

A random fox sketch, dedicated to the foxes who made GIMP 1.2 reality!

oriental.jpg
Image: oriental.jpg   588x801 83470 bytes 2000.11.15

A pencil work of mine that I did when I waited for a lecture to start - turned out there was no lecture. Hmph. Anyway, I hope this stands out as a separate work and need not to be thought of as a "sketch" or something. No computer was harmed during the production of this image (and GIMP doesn't seem to like my tablet right now anyway - Patched In The Next Version...)

timberwolf-coffee.jpg
Image: timberwolf-coffee.jpg   600x704 78373 bytes 2000.09.04

OK, this is the colored and greatly enhanced version of the TimberWolf BattleMech
piccie I uploaded in... hmmm... long time ago. That's me on top of Timber Wolf
(Inner Sphere scum calls this thing "Mad Cat"), drinking some tea. (The leg
position is awkward because a. I'm not good at drawing 'Mechs and b. the ground
is difficult...) The 'Mech design and related trademarks belong to FASA Corporation.

perl-magic.jpg
Image: perl-magic.jpg   600x600 47244 bytes 2000.03.12

"Perl, Ars Arcanumica". My tribute to the greatest programming language ever made.
In addition to GIMP I also used Perl and Blender togheter to make this one.
see: http://www.iki.fi/wwwwolf/things/graphics/gimptut/arcanumica.html for
more information (and headless rambling) on how I fared.
The idea behind this picture was, as everyone can see, stolen from
another picture...

audiophilia.jpg
Image: audiophilia.jpg   600x600 60612 bytes 1999.12.08

No, haven't been showing my drawings in public for a looooong time. I'm back.
Sort of. Anyway, here's one picture that probably shows what kind of progress
I've made. Not much, but, err, it might be adequate in some standards. =)
I first thought of making this image a bit more... interesting, but I thought
otherwise. Made with GIMP 1.1.13.

w4-standing.jpg
Image: w4-standing.jpg   475x803 32099 bytes 1999.06.01

This is a self-portrait =) for my character description page.
Not fancy or stuff, but hey, it works as a lo-rez image. =)
Also the first picture that I sketched in paper, scanned with
a flatbed scanner and "inked" and colored with tablet & GIMP.

tiow.gif
Image: tiow.gif   746x746 182998 bytes 1999.05.15

Phew! This is probably the best image I've drawn. A lot of hours in front of
machine doing stuff... while small mistakes were not catastrophic in GIMP,
handling 1600x1600x6 layer image is SLOW... Anyway, here are the fruits of the
work, and I must say this looks WAY better than the previous RGRNCA website
title image. What do you think?

scannersweep.jpg
Image: scannersweep.jpg   450x581 24712 bytes 1998.12.03

WWWWolf performing a scanner sweep. This picture is just one of my
infamous "versions" of pictures. The original can be found from Games
Workshop's "Space Crusade" game.
This is actually an improved version of the original image.
Way better than the previous try, but still horrible.

lifeandtimes.gif
Image: lifeandtimes.gif   700x816 178337 bytes 1998.07.05

An odd psychological and symbolic picture. See my website for a
longish description and sort of, you know, kind of an analysis.

wwwwolftank.gif
Image: wwwwolftank.gif   650x664 172544 bytes 1998.06.29

WWWWolf next to a small one-man laser tank. One of the first
remotely nicely done (emphasis on *remotely*) images I've made with
tablet, and it shows. =/ This was done for the RGRNCA web page.
