Another request, for another friend. 13, posing by the wall of his shop/garage.\r\n\r\nMarkus XIII belongs to his player.\r\nArtwork belongs to myself.\r\n\r\nReference: screenshots, screen captures and photos provided by 13.

An older picture for a close friend. Just her at the bar of one club...\r\n\r\nAttraela Forestnight belongs to her player.\r\nArtwork belongs to myself.

On the Jack forums, I asked for volunteers to be drawn. Here's the first of said volunteers, Black Joker.\r\n\r\nThe pose was inspired by a certain painting (I imagine anyone from Poland wouldn't have too much trouble identifying it).\r\n\r\nBlack Joker belongs to his owner, obviously.\r\nArtwork by Xander Morhaime (admittedly, the signature on the pic isn't too visible).
563x800 110599 bytes 2005.06.15
Another of the volunteers from the Jack forum, Bloodied Fox.\r\n\r\nThis one's a bit out of turn, but I'm going with the old exam rule: do what you know you can do well first. Admittedly, I'm not too happy with how the gun turned out. My oversized weapons need a bit of work, I suppose.\r\n\r\nCharacter belongs to Bloodied Fox.\r\nArtwork by Xander Morhaime.

Time for some of my own characters for a change. They're certainly overdue for some recents pics. Going from left to right, we have:\r\n\r\nJason Torino, major,\r\nMichael Torino, private, Jason's younger brother and a medic in his unit,\r\nEzekiel Rage, colonel,\r\nChristopher C. Lis, captain.\r\n\r\nCharacters and artwork (c) Xander Morhaime.
979x683 155134 bytes 2006.09.20
Continuing with the series of characters from my stories (never mind some have never appeared in any yet.) Left to right:\r\n\r\nXander Morhaime, in the uniform from his Black Ops days, showing off a pair of GKI-1 impact pistols.\r\nLance-corporal Amanda Covenant, Xander's mechanic (well, he's a cyborg after all). Holding a nanite-based repair tool, too.\r\nWarrant officer 4th class Alice Wardwell, the pilot for Jason Torino's unit.\r\nCaptain Patrick Galloway, Ezekiel Rage's second in command. Yes, he's a blue hedgehog, no, he's not related to Sonic.\r\n\r\nCharacters and artwork (c) Xander Morhaime
751x634 117508 bytes 2006.10.15
Next batch of characters:\r\n\r\nAlbert Williams, lieutenant, the resident marksman from Jason's unit, showing off a sniper-pattern railgun.\r\nJanet Kell, quartermaster sergeant, Jason's communications expert, shown here with a plasma gun and a comms long-range transmitter.\r\nSarah Briggs, private, Mike Torino's close friend, shown here in the newer silksteel uniform and holding a "Needle" laser rifle.\r\n\r\nCharacters and artwork (c) Xander Morhaime

Took a bit of a break from drawing the volunteers at the Jack forums, and this pic's the reason for it. I realise the background didn't come out quite as good as I had hoped (the ceiling especially)... I really need to work on backgrounds more.\r\n\r\nDante (on the left) (c) to his creator.\r\nXander Morhaime (on the right) and artwork (c) to Xander Morhaime.

Another one of the volunteers from the Jack forums. This time, one Doctor Jackal. Some of you might've already seen him in comissions by other artists... he gets around, doesn't he.\r\n\r\nFor an overnight piece, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.\r\n\r\nDoctor Jackal (c) his owner.\r\nArtwork by Xander Morhaime.

Doom Marines - BFG guy
Aaand here's yet another Doom pic. Simple enough this time... just the lucky marine that got his paws on one of the new BFG 9000 series.\r\n\r\nRemember kids, squirrels and high-powered energy weapons don't mix well.\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) Antious\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime

Doom Marines - Chainsaw
They thought they had all their bases covered. They had all the security access codes changed and promptly lost. They made sure there were no military-grade weapons left lying around anywhere on the base. When the time came, those that weren't possessed were soon hunted down. The UAC councillor and his bodyguard were quickly disposed of. They had the Artifact safely hidden away. They thought nothing could stop them. They forgot one thing.\r\n\r\nRaptors with chainsaws.\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) FinalGamer\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime\r\n\r\n...aaand that's enough from me on this project.
553x800 112870 bytes 2008.04.04
Doom Marines - the Heavy
Just two more of these left in the project...\r\n\r\nFor now, meet the heavy weapons expert of our little Doom Marine squad. Of course, having to use that minigun as often as he does, he also has to carry around a truckload of ammo for the bloody thing...\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) Gareeku\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
800x657 173276 bytes 2007.12.15
Doom Marines - Medic
Next in line for the Doom-inspired pics... the medic. Contrary to popular opinion, medics don't pop into existance fully loaded with an inexhaustible supply of medkits or what have you. They've got to get them from somewhere... \r\n\r\nAnd that's why there's hardly any medkits left by the time you get there.\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) his owner.\r\nDoom (c) id Software.\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime\r\n
800x596 212011 bytes 2007.11.14
Doom Marines - Sergeant
Another series in the works...\r\n\r\nSure, he's got long hair, a goatee and is wearing glasses. He also just shoved that imp's face through that monitor. Any doubts as to why he's the sarge?\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) The Playwright\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
800x681 155685 bytes 2007.11.17
Doom Marines - Scout
Second piece in the series.\r\n\r\nHere's the scout. As you can see, the UAC Marines are an equal-opportunity employer...\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) EvilBugz\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
800x584 128936 bytes 2008.04.18
Doom Marines - The Sniper
Just one more left now...\r\n\r\nThis time, we've got the UAC Marine sniper on show. You'd think they wouldn't see much work on Mars, what with the enclosed spaces and all... but out in the open or in those corridors, the ability to blow someone's head off with the first shot can never be underestimated.\r\n\r\nBoom, headshot.\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) Morti\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
800x491 189523 bytes 2007.12.29
Doom Marines - Special Ops
Because honestly, when you've got the clearance, what's better than a plasma gun? TWO plasma guns. I certainly don't envy whatever's on the other side of the barrels.\r\n\r\nNow... granted, the lighting on most of his body isn't perfect, but if there's one thing I'm pleased with, it's the lighting on his face. And the eye. That turned out great. And I think the switch in reference material for the armour is an improvement as well...\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) Ace Allen\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
657x800 168360 bytes 2008.03.01
Doom Marines - Stalker
Sometimes it helps to have someone on your side that can quickly and quietly get through the various vent shafts and shiv the baddies on the other side before letting in the rest of your guys...\r\n\r\nMeet the Stalker. Pity the arch-vile.\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) his creator\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
785x800 191228 bytes 2007.12.06
Doom Marines - Tech Op
...because sometimes, all that technical knowledge just means knowing which cables to yank out.\r\n\r\nAnother in the series of Doom-inspired pics. Our techie here apparently just killed a Hell Knight by airlock. Let that be a lesson, never mess with the techies.\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) Lord Crayak (and you wouldn't believe how much of a pain an anthro leech is...)\r\nDoom (c) id Software\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime

Convention Art - Farrago from "Jack"
Second of the pics done during the EJFC. This time, it's the angel Farrago, also from the webcomic "Jack". Sketched and inked during the con, coloured back home afterwards.\r\n\r\nFarrago & "Jack" webcomic (c) David Hopkins\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime

My first proper commission...\r\n\r\nThis one's inspired by the SNES game Live-a-Live. FinalGamer here has taken on the role of Cube, the ship's resident home-built bot... and eventually ends up having to face off against OD-10. Don't ask me, I haven't quite got that far in the game.\r\n\r\nCharacter (c) Final Gamer\r\nLive-a-Live, Cube, OD-10 (c) Squaresoft\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
503x760 77723 bytes 2007.07.22
My first commission! How the time flies... anyway, the character is one Final Gamer, shown here dressed up as Simon Belmont of Castlevania fame, complete with whip (and candle that's bound to be on the recieving end of said whip soon).\r\n\r\nSimon Belmont & Castlevania (c) Konami\r\nFinal Gamer (c) his creator\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
800x727 104851 bytes 2007.12.19
Took a bit of a break from the Doom-inspired pics here and drew one of my own characters for a change. It's also a bit of an experiment with some GIMP tools... admittedly, mostly with Blur. Still, I'm relatively pleased with the results.\r\n\r\nSo, we've got Xander Morhaime leading a fire sweep through some enemy lines. Though it'd be more apt to call it shooting fish in a barrel. When you've got armour plating under your skin and a robot army behind you... Ancient history, though - nowadays Xander brings his two Wraith-pattern guards along on such rare occasions, and prefers impact weapons to ballistic ones...\r\n\r\nCharacter and artwork (c) Xander Morhaime
396x800 67758 bytes 2005.06.15
Next up in line from the volunteers from the Jack forums, Shift.\r\n\r\nHopefully I didn't mess up the colour scheme too much. At least I can say I wasn't provided with too much detail in that matter...\r\n\r\nShift belongs to the TWF.\r\nArtwork by Xander Morhaime.
395x800 62368 bytes 2003.09.23
A request picture for a friend. Here she is, at the counter of a tavern she sometimes helps tend to.\r\n\r\nIlara bar Dianis belongs to her player.\r\nArtwork belongs (as always) to myself.\r\n\r\nApologies for the lack of more detailed background... information on how it should look isn't always available.

Waiting for the next Big Push
A rather sudden (if random) bit of inspiration here... and an even more random assortment of characters. Hard to guess whether the Grim Reaper's more put off by being offered a smoke, or by the knowledge of said smoke being passed down the trench for the last ten minutes...\r\n\r\nOr it could just be someone treading on his robe. How he manages to keep it clean with all that mud around is anyone's guess.\r\n\r\nVinci Nickolaides, Jack, Arcaton and Airborne are (c) their creators.\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
499x800 76304 bytes 2003.10.01
Older piece...\r\n\r\nXander, my main character, after a bit of work in the data recovery division of UGF Black Ops. Pity the poor zombies back there...\r\n\r\nXander Morhaime and artwork (c) myself.
467x701 106664 bytes 2006.08.26
Aaand here's the final piece in the series of volunteers from the Jack forums. I honestly love how it came out, not much else to say. (Give me half a year and I'll find a ton of mistakes, I'll bet.)\r\n\r\nAlright, maybe the spotlight shadow is a bit off...\r\n\r\nJReq (c) his creator\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
320x674 58973 bytes 2006.06.27
Another of the volunteers from the Jack forum. I'm not entirely happy with how the fur shading turned out, but aside from that I think this one is decent enough...\r\n\r\nKesh (c) his player\r\nArtwork (c) Xander Morhaime
