i had been hella reading manga when i drew this pic, so the face & hair are heavily influenced by that style, and i love how those bits came out. the rest of the body (especially the hand), i'm not so crazy about. ah well.

last xmas my daddy bought me a kickass rc truck. one of those build-your-own deals where it comes in a million and one pieces and you have to build it from the motor up... all the inner mechanics and everything. 'cause, c'mon, that's the FUN part. i even modded it and gave it real working headlights, and i was gonna stick a buncha red LEDs on the underside of the body so it has an underglow thing going on, but i never quite finished. actually, i never really finished painting the body either... i like driving it around without it. it looks like some insane beastly moon rover or something. :D

i didn't actually mean to make her so bored looking... she's just sposta look kinda lazy and slackerly. O.o

this is a larger version of a teeny tiny "welcome" image (only about 150 px high) that i did for a mailing list i'm in. i'm not sure if they ever used it though. i had done their previous welcome image, but i had grown to hate it, so i decided to propose an update. the group had kinda gone quiet by then, though, so i doubt if the moderators had ever taken the initiative and changed it. i really should check on that one of these days...

trying out new techniques with the hair... i had been reading manga. ;3

i like this... but then again something about it bothers me. nothing specific... it just doesn't look "right".

i couldn't get the saturation right in the scan either, no matter how much i played with it in photoshop. the colors should be just a tiny bit more vivid.

oh yeah, this is a bookmark done on regular sketchbook paper with Sakura Microns and cheapass watercolor paints.
